Justin Lee plays guitar, bass, keyboards, mandolin and is an outstanding singer/songwriter.

In the mid 90s Justin began playing solo acoustic folk, rock and blues at the Old Post Pub and other venues around Missoula, MT. These solo performances continued after the formation of the rock band Big Sandy Grain Company. Featuring original songs predominantly written by Justin, the band became very popular around Western Montana for several years.

In 2001, Justin formed the band Justin Lee and the Powers That Be including some of Western Montana's best musical talent in the lineup such as Ryan Vetos, Stuart Jackson, Jon Gauthier, Ron Meissner, Richie Reinholdt, Mike Freemole, and occasionally the illustrious John Chapman on saxophone. Justin Lee and the Powers That Be gained popularity over the next 3 years and produced a CD in 2004, Entropy.

After a short break, Justin returned as a solo act with a new toy: a loop pedal. These days he primarily performs as a one-man-band, entertaining with energetic rock, blues, folk and jazz styles or using the same styles when a venue or event calls for classy, mellow musical performance. Using the loop pedal and some creativity, he layers phrase after musical phrase to create songs that are much more colorful than the usual solo act and much quieter than a full rock band. In addition to these unique solo performances, Justin is currently collaborating in a couple other projects and seeking new collaborations that may allow him to extend his bass playing abilities.

Justin also spent 10 years working as a web developer/graphic designer and is currently a professional brewer at Bayern Brewing. He enjoys photography as well as spending time outdoors hiking, paddling a mountain lake or camping with his family.
